FS2004 Air Asia Boeing 737-301 'Jalur Gemilang' Air Asia is a low-cost airline based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It operates scheduled domestic and international flights and is Asia's leading low fare, no frills airline. It is also the first airline in the region to implement fully ticketless travel and unassigned seats. AirAsia has been expanding rapidly and is very popular among the travelling public thanks to its frequent low fare deals. Its main base is the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It has nothing to do with the ex-CIA front corporation with the same name. The Air Asia planes use to be very colorfull. This one, called 'Jalur Gemilang', is a development of the malasian flag. It has some uncomon details: the painting is not simetric, so if you see the plane from ahead, it's half blue half white. The nosedoors are white even on the blue side, and the wings have the airline's name painted over. This repaint was almost finished when a virus atacked my antivirus, so I had to reformat and lost almost a week of paint work. Frankly, I can't understand why anybody hasn't done this plane before. It's so colorfull that it must have been atracting the eyes of any repainter since 2003. By the way, the real one was damaged on a landing this year. It seem to have been very well repaired, don't you? Model by FFX/SGA. Hall: "None. Zip. Nada. Use at your own risk. I don’t think this will harm your computer in any way, but if it does, I don’t even want to hear about it." A last remark: Why don't become a repainter? There are a lot of planes with special markings. I'm tired of the usual F-16 low-vis scheme, or the usual 757 in Delta markings. Why don't a "Bat's outa Hell's" B-25 or a serie of Qantas 737s? The plane modelers like FFX/SGA are very important, but they can't make all the painting schemes by himselfs. So why don't help they? Installation: Unzip b737ah80.zip in your "Aircraft" folder of FS2004 or FS2002 and that's all. If you like this, or any observation, send me a mail to dracosist@cantv.net
