FS2004 Boeing 727-200 Braniff Ultra Blue By the mid-1970s, Braniff operated the largest fleet of Boeing 727s in the world, and pioneered the concept of fleet standardization and the efficiencies that a single type of aircraft could produce. On May 12, 1982, Braniff Airways ceased all operations, thus ending 54 years of service in the American airline industry. Braniff International Airlines (Braniff III) was the second attempt to resurrect the Braniff name after the original Braniff had ended operations in 1982. The airline started operations in 1991 and used a fleet of ten 727s painted in the Ultra Scheme and 1965 BI logotype. Regrettably, Braniff III only lasted a little over a year and ceased operations in 1992. There were at least three "Ultra Blue", or "Mercury Blue" planes. One of them (not this!) was the official ride of the Dallas Cowboys... just two flights. They called it the jinx plane. Model by Vistaliners, repaint by Alejandro Hurtado. Hall: "None. Zip. Nada. Use at your own risk. I don’t think this will harm your computer in any way, but if it does, I don’t even want to hear about it." A last remark: Why don't become a repainter? There are a lot of planes with special markings. I'm tired of the usual F-16 low-vis scheme, or the usual 757 in Delta markings. Why don't a "Bat's outa Hell's" B-25 or a serie of Qantas 737s? The plane modelers like Erick Cantu are very important, but they can't make all the painting schemes by himselfs. So why don't help they?
