FSChatter Live ATC Version 1.6.5
================================

Overview:
=========
FSChatter Live uses Flight Simulator’s communications frequencies to play live ATC transmissions from the web. There are two modes of operation: automatic and manual. In the automatic mode, Flight Simulator must be running and a COM frequency selected that has a URL assigned to it. In the manual mode FSChatter Live can be operated without Flight Simulator. Clicking on any entry shown in the main screen will cause FSChatter Live to connect to the assigned ATC web site shown in the list. The program also has a range feature that allows you set a distance in miles around the selected airport. ATC transmission will not play if you are flying beyond this range.

You can also use pre-recorded wave files as your source of ATC if you wish. If there is no Live ATC from your favourite airport you can grab your scanner and record your own ATC. In addition to the Live ATC transmissions and pre-recorded wave files, FSChatter Live can also play Internet radio for you. You can tune-in a radio station using either the automatic or manual mode of operation.

IMPORTANT! REMEMBER THIS!
=========================
FSChatter Live ATC requires the current version of Peter Dowson's FSUIPC for Flight Simulator. FSX requires Version 4.0 or higher, FS2004 requires Version 3.0 or higher. The FSUIPC Module allows FSChatter to communicate with your Flight Simulator.

Peter Dowson's FSUIPC can be found on most FlightSim sites. Search for "FSUIPC" or try the "Must Have" file sections. You can always get the very latest version by going directly to Pete's web site at http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html

Compatibility:
==============
Windows Media Player is used to connect and stream the ATC URLs in the master list. When adding your own URL entries to the master list, keep in mind that the file type must be compatible with the Windows Media Player. The best way to check this out is to try to open and play the URL directly from the Media Player. Right click on the Media Player’s Menu Bar, select File, Open URL and enter the URL to be tested.

LiveATC.net:
============
Even though FSChatter Live is in no way affiliated with LiveATC.net is does rely almost exclusively on LiveATC.net to provide the live Air Traffic Control transmissions available to you the user. Without this service FSChatter Live would not be able to stream the excitement of live ATC chatter into Flight Simulator. You can help keep LiveATC.net a free service by supporting them with your Donation.

IMPORTANT! Please read the following:
By default FSChatter Live uses LiveATC.net as its main source for ATC communication streams. Please note the following: Do not contact LiveATC.net if you are having problems connecting to their site or playing ATC streams while running FSChatter Live. They are unable to provide support of any kind for FSChatter Live. Please contact the author for assistance. (contact information at the bottom of this page)
