Video Contest Rules

- Videos are no longer limited to FS2004 - FSX and the FSX Demo may be used for your video contest entries. If you would like to submit a video from another simulator please PM Jon and we will consider it.
- Effective with the first contest of 2007, the length of video entries must be 2 minutes or less.
- The file size must be 23mb or under.
- All entries must have a common file extension - .avi, .mpg, .mpeg, .wmv, etc.
- Editing is allowed.
- Please ensure the link to your video is valid and not in danger of exceeding bandwidth! This is a very common problem that can be avoided by uploading it to the FS2004.com Downloads System. Please note there is a small delay (24-48 hours) from the time you upload a video to FS2004.com to the time it is approved by a Download Manager.
- Once you have a download link ready, wait for the contest countdown on the main forum page to reach zero, then PM your video link to the Contest Host (indicated after the countdown reaches zero).
- This is a semi-anonymous contest. By this we ask that you not declare yourself the author of the video publicly until the contest is over. However, we do allow you to credit yourself within the video itself. This is to cut down on "popularity voting."
- If your video has already been posted on this site or other sites, it should not be entered in this contest (after all, this is supposed to be an anonymous contest).
- During voting please do not vote for yourself! We spot-check for this on occasion, and may disqualify your entry if self-voting is detected.
