This entire contest needs to be wiped down with what went wrong and the remaining contestants to go for the gold.
Whoever won last month and picked this months claim should be free to issue a complaint on behalf of the victims in this contest in Site Feedback. Ridiculous!

Thanks Alex.
Look at #3 - NO VOTES.
No its not the best looking shot, but it is definitely different and creative (no it isnt mine). So the theme is irrelevant this month.
From here on out, 2 or 3 entries - so what? The theme is the theme.
Otherwise, don't ask the winner what the theme should be.
This contest is a fluke.

I don't think we should go through the trouble of redoing it, just do better enforcing the theme next month.

That isn't your fault.
If it had been expressed properly at the top, there would be no question.
The theme is "something creative."
But that is not explained.

I totally agree.
Omg! in the face of so much in the world going on, this small thing is absolutely laughable.
However, I am an artist and very passionate about creativity.
It was my choice for the theme and I think it would be great if we get it right from now on here at FSW.

I understand the theme avalon on what you are trying to say! but to me a contest of 2 to 3 shots is a waste of a contest and a waste of time, plus when you are trying to build up numbers in contests, from a recent downfall in numbers, you want to accept what ever possible entrys you can! otherwise people complain that im being too fussy regarding this and that, too strict, or it doesnt match what they think the theme should be.
Some themes are seen to be so different in everyones mind.
eg: "Russian" = Russian aircraft, Russian scenery, Russian what??? Get my drift??
Same goes with this theme,
"Something Creative" ok so we have - Creative Aircraft, Creative Scenery, Creative Angles...
So will everyone stop complaining about this contest and vote otherwise i will simply cancel it, if EVERYONE is unhappy that their shot or because other shots don't fall within the widely viewed theme being used, this month. If people still complain about unfair contests then we can just simply just remove the themes

avalon.. I'd have to agree with TND4NOS.. The theme is explained perfectly well and is open to many sub categories eg aircraft scenery and angles. The theme being used is open to interpretation and if you don't like it being like then quit whinging and making a fuss over it. TND4NOS is doing his best to increase the number of shots per competition, has they have dropped from a miserable 20-30 entries to 1-5 in the past few years. If you hadn't noticed, the competitions are tending towards the brink of extinction, with competitions being cancelled on a frequent basis.

Oh wow. Well by "angle" I meant approach or style, not actual angle lol. Thanks for pointing that out.
I am very appreciative of what is going on in the screen shot contests and the work it takes to put it together and the fact that the numbers are dwindling. BUT I think for future contests, the theme should be stated at the very top of the voting thread so people can judge.
"Whining" doesn't apply here because these are legitimate concerns that can help the future contests. If it still bothers you that I am speaking up, then tough titty. Quit whining.

I still have the pm you sent me saying exactly what i have said regarding a wide ranged theme and confirming with you the creative angle basis... would you like to see it again??

YOU: Soo "Something Creative" - A shot that possesses a creative angle?
ME: Yeah. how bout this - "something creative" - anything goes but it must possess a creative angle.
Again, "angle" was not what I intended it as being understood. "Angle" for me was a broader sense of approach, not actual view - a non-standard or uncommon scenario.
I originally wanted to call it "something different" . Should have gone with that.

I imagine everyone assumed it meant camera angle because the angle of a shot is commonly discussed in FS screenshots. "That's a cool angle," "How did you get that angle?", ect.
