Hey guys I have been wondering, how do I change the textures for the AI aircraft in FSX? What I am referring to is the other air traffic that can be viewed. What I want to do Is change the Default textures on the ai aircraft to real world airline textures to make the flying experience more realistic. If I do this, will the AI aircraft call signs change? I appreciate your help and God bless!

What you need is to install some AI packages.
AI packages are in fact packs of AI aircrafts for a given real-world company, with appropriate textures, callsigns and flightplans.

You can download tons of AI packages for free from websites like World of AI for example.
Just be informed that those aircrafts are made for FS9. They will work perfectly in FSX as long as you do not enable the "DirectX10 preview" in the game options. World of AI packages can be downloaded airline by airline, and the choice is huge. You need to dowload their installer program first, then you use this program to open and install the AI packages (you must not unzip those packages, just open them directly with the installer).

If you use the DirectX10 preview, then you'll have to use AI packages made in FSX format. Unfortunately, I believe they do not exist in freeware. Only payware... I hope somebody can confirm this ?
