So I've decided to move on now and try something new like fighter jets!  :hrmm:

Please suggest a few add-ons for fighter jets, if anyone knows any good add-ons, freeware (but must be good of course) or payware (I have a few bucks to spare) please do say for some of these models:

F-14
F-15
F-16
F-18 (the default one is good enough for me)
F-22

MiG 17
MiG 19
MiG 21
MiG 23
MiG 25
MiG 27
MiG 29

Euro-fighter
Mirage 2000
Mirage F1
Sea Harrier

and also the Sukhoi fighters:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukhoi

are there any good add-ons for the transport planes themselves like the C-130 Hercules? I'd love to fly that...

I tried looking for some myself but with little success, all the ones I find are not that great, so if anyone has any suggestions, please say!

Cheers

EDIT: I don't need an add-on for all of them lol, but if you guys know a good add-on for some of them please say.

The edit is gone :hrmm:

well I just found a good F-16 model named viperdnx.zip. EDIT, I saw a thread about the LAGO F-16, and they say it's better so I'll try to find a cheap place to buy it. Also found the Iris F-15 and F-14, I may not have enough spare change for all of that though, so does anyone know good freeware?

Uh yeah, I got all I wanted after spending time google searching, this thread can be completely deleted now as it is useless:

I found these aircrafts:

Iris F-14
Iris F-15
Iris F-16, Viper F-16, Lago F-16
Captain Sim MiG 29
Iris MiG 29
Just Flight C-130 hercules
Freeware Mirage 2000

I solved my own problem...

F-14- Dino's freeware F-14D is outstanding. http://www.simviatio...e...=64&page=27
The F-14A by Iris is good too..

F-16- Forget Lago. It's old and hasn't been updated in ages. Get Aerosoft!

Hi, here are my freeware recommendations:

View Postsimaviator, on Jan 10 2010, 08:43 AM, said:

F-14: I suggest you the newest Tomcat made by Dino Cattaneo. It's a real FSX SP2 native aircraft.

F-15: The Coral F-15 will be a good start.

F-16: Kirk Olsson F-16

F-18 (the default one is good enough for me): hard to find anything better than the default one.

F-22: no recommendations here. Even the formerly payware - now freeware - YF-22 from IRIS is not so good :/

MiG 21: the FS9 version made recently by Jan Moravek is beautiflull and has a nice VC.

MiG 23: the IRIS one is now freeware, but the gauges do not work in FSX. I hope somebody will make an update.

MiG 25: no one ever did a good version of this one.

MiG 27: same as above

MiG 29: There is one for FS9, but I don't know if it works well in FSX... better try some payware.

Euro-fighter: forget about it. Avoid AFS design as much as you can.

Mirage 2000: Rollus made a freeware native FSX SP2 (Acceleration) Mirage 2000-5, but his website is down. Be patient. That plane is one of the best freewares in the whole FS history, way better than some paywares.
There is also a freeware FS9 version of the Mirage 2000-N (double seat), which can be found on a lot of download sites. Look for "Mirage 2000-N basic pack" to get some cool photoreal textures.

Mirage F1: Kirk Olsson did one, the only one with a VC. Sadly, it's a FS9 model and most of the gauges do not work at all.

Sea Harrier: not a single complete freeware one. Go for payware.

and also the Sukhoi fighters:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukhoi
Same as above.

Same as above.

I'd love a Harrier which actually worked like the real thing and maybe a F35.

Milviz team is actually working on a native FSX Harrier.
I think they will most likely use the RCBO gauges, or something similar, to fully simulate a real vectored thrust.

Where can I found payware, I did my calculations and I have enough money for a few add-ons. Can you recommend payware for each one?

I would go for the IRIS F-16, and wait on a MiG-29 for now as the IRIS version is not very compatible with FSX.

And absolutely get the Lotus Simulations L-39 Albatros.

http://www.fspilotsh...roducts_id=1622

Is that the same? Because it has more aircrafts for $30, I don't want to spend $32 just for the F-16.

Ho! Ho! It's ABACUS, ignore what i said, i'm buying that F-16 from Aerosoft.

and how bout this MiG 29?

http://www.fspilotsh...roducts_id=2002

is it any good?

Looks like AFS Design has a lot of the Russian planes, should I buy from AFS?
EDIT: Ouch on the price, can't go over $100

EDIT 2: Must I forget the F-4 Phantom? The most legendary plane and I even have a model I built a few years ago sitting near my window beside my 777 Model :hrmm:. Any good add-ons freeware or payware for the F4?

http://www.fspilotsh...roducts_id=1799] - any good?

Thanks

EDIT 3: One thing is for sure is i'v learnt my lesson about how to find what I want to find without asking others for help unless I really need it. Thanks guys, but I did need you to tell me what's good and what's wrong... I was almost going to buy Abacus until I say in bold letters "ABACUS" while putting in my details.

By the way, I bought the Aerosoft F-16 :P

Now the question is:

Justflight or Captain Sim C-130? :hrmm:

They're the same thing, just different packaging.

I would wait on purchasing a MiG-29.  There isn't a good one for FSX..yet.

And A2A is currently working on a F-4 which will no doubt be epic.

Any ideas of when those will be released?

I have a question for the F-16. The Kirk Olsen one looks amazing but I bought the aerosoft one and am enjoying it flying an IAF F-16 and bombing A nuclear reactor in Iraq but is the Kirk Olsen freeware better than the Aerosoft Payware? Are the freewares you mentioned better than the payware?

EDIT: Okay Guys I re-intalled my FS9 quickly and can you guys please now recommend me payware or freeware (whatever is best) for FS9? I already got a great F4 for FS9, and I will wait for the A2A one for FSX and I bought the CaptainSim C-130 and got freeware F-16 for it from Kirk Olsen what else?

Kirk's F-16 is good for freeware I guess, but the aerosoft is superior in every way, shape, and form.

The external model of Kirk's F-16 is really good, but that's pretty much all about it.
The virtual cockpit is not so detailled, has almost no instrumentation at all, and nothing is clickable.
The Aerosoft one is really an impressive plane, very complete.
