the new custom ground...i didn't want to use the sat image so made my own layout.

Concrete sections...just some interesting shots if your curious how its done...not the layers for grass, mask, concrete and shading marks. this way i can make the seasonal textures easily as all i have to do is alter the grass sections and the rest is un altered  :hrmm:

More updates as things are starting to take shape now...i scrapped the default taxiway edge lighting, i wasnt happy with the limited and erratic placement of the lights so im in the middle of replacing all 1200 ~ taxipoles...by hand.... :hrmm: but the night lighting is done now so the terminals look alive! textures need to be tweaked as i think their a bit light at the minute...but its a start  :hrmm:

Are you going to use default jetways?

This jetway would make the scenery look alot better.

It's made by George from FT.

You might then have to make MDW payware  :hrmm:

Right then all gates are placed, i need to do a re shuffle of the apron now as theres old scenery objects and gets that are mis aligned, im currently adding all the gate numbers to the tops of the terminals  :hrmm: when this is done all the modeling for the terminal area is done, i have the taxiway lighting areas to finish and i can start getting people to test it, should be fun!

I hope your happy now brian!  :hrmm:

Again thanks for all your comments, suggestions, and support! It really does keep me going and wanting to make the scenery better for you! I will most certainly need to beta test it so for those who have contributed in this topic you shall recieve first dibbs on the scenery! Secondly.. impulsive a trailer would get people downloading it rather well don't you think  :hrmm:

Right then... back to buisness. Ok so it seems this one dabble in scenery design has indeed turned into an addiction (flyhalf :hrmm:)! So in my now serious effort to actually roll out a decent quality scenery i have gone back to the drawing board with the ground layout, now adding concrete and custom markings into the mix...the screenshots below are my early stages as im getting all the splines and polys for the marking the correct opacity and sharpness. then ill fine tune them all to create a rather nice ground layout  :P Since its christmas and i work in retail i am flat out working constantly so time isnt somthing i have alot of at the moment, that said ill try to keep you updated on how its going..i forsee this part of the project taking the longest.

Cheers guys!
Dan.

Concrete and asphalt textures made in HD 2048 resolution so if you have HD enabled the terminal and ground layout should look nice!

Starting to gauge the custom textures that i need
