Sky textures look less milky/hazy than FSX.
Ground textures also look better.
Frame rate looks smooth and hopefully as SwitchFX said it's coming from an affordable rig.
I can imagine lots of emphasis was put on performance but thankfully it didn't sacrifice on the visuals one bit from the looks of things.

All of us are just that awesome for noticing the actual improvements besides a few textures.

Go up in a real aircraft and look at the sea. There are barely any reflections unless it's an unusually calm and bright day. JUst because FSX has a cartoon glass sea, doesn't mean that's realistic.

I looked at some screenshots of Falcon 4, and my question is....did the cloud shape determine the shadow shape? Back then, it's likely that a dark are displayed on the ground for each cloud or something. If cloud shadows were implemented into a modern sim, the right thing to do would be to make them display as the same shape as the original cloud. Rendering the shape of a semitransparent object in the sky that blends from solid to nothing onto the ground as a shadow can't be an easy task. But maybe they'll work something out by release. We can only hope.

I hate to say it, but that's just asking for the team to hold it back and not make the big improvements that they are capable of. Backwards compatibility holds the sim back from progressing as much as it should.

Well Flight does look like fsx with orbx...it is definately an improvement over default fsx in every way however.
