Looks pretty good! But let's see how much it costs.

Also Microsoft, please. Add a familiar plane. I want to fly aircraft like the C172 and Baron 58.

Well, appart from the TERRIBLE water wave texture (I can't believe they failed to update that one... I'm almost sure the FSX one could work...), these shots don't look too bad at all...

Yeah in a static picture it looks bad, but ingame when in dynamic motion it gives a nice effect and looks good.

I read on the AVSIM forums that there isn't really a Falcon and that it's inclusion in the post was just a mistake by one of the mods...

They'd better not price it much then.

I'm really glad that Microsoft is expanding the coverage area, which I presume they will hit the carribean soon. But, $20 per area? No thanks.
Also, +1 for the B58 Baron. Will buy that beauty in a heartbeat.

they should have started with this..  at least there's more to do than in hawaii. it looks... OK. still hate the water. idk why microsoft has such a hard time getting the water down.. all they gotta do is look at virtual skipper 5.. that came out 4 years ago. that water btw is dynamic, and calculated real time based on real winds, tides, and currents... and has ZERO impact on fps.  this still isn't convincing for me, i really hope this is gonna have substance and not just be "eye candy." the falcon is an interesting choice.. they better have modeled all or most all systems or people are gonna be upset.. lol. i'm waiting for the free core update.. the one that adds everything that's missing in flght....

for those of you who haven't seen VS5:

Well, the water in VS5 has "zero" impact on FPS because there's not much to actually compute.
The boat physics, just like plane physics, are not so heavy for a CPU, but it's more the side stuff that comes into the equation. Terrain, AI, weather etc... And terrain in the VS series is everything but complex, that saves quite a lot of CPU power for the waves. The problematic in a flight sim is different.
What I'm trying to say is that such waves in XPlane or FS would be totally awesome, but they would have quite a dramatic cost in FPS...

that really doesn't matter in flight........ :hrmm:

and i'm not saying flight has to have real time water.. but just something better. how hard can it be? especially when it's been done so many times...... for so many years.

This actually looks better than what we had before. I don't know why the jet's screenshot is a different format though.
Still, I would like to have the whole world in one go. An ingame map that shows VOR's and things (like in FSX) etc. etc.

Is it possible to make Flight work with VATSIM at all? I know there is no VATSIM client for it yet, but I mean in the foreseeable future, when (if?) Flight has matured more.

looks pretty good.  Only complaint is the building textures.  Not a fan.
