when i downloaded the basics of project AI, i cant help but notice there is an unusually small number of PAI planes. i turned the in-game AI traffic level to 100%, and a lot of air france planes showed up in LFPG. however, in kmia, theres abotu 1 AA plane there and the rest are MS default. there is an uninstaller on the PAI website to get rid of the default AI planes. if i get rid of the default AI, will they be replaced by all of the other dl'ed airlines i get?

You won't actually need the AFCAD program yourself, but you will want to download the AFCAD files from the Project AI website.  These will provide better/more parking at a lot of your airports.

Here is a link if you have trouble finding the files.

The PAI AFCAD files (follow the installation instructions for them) contain additional parking spaces for the increased AI, and the correct airline designations for those parking spots.

Without the AFCAD, you may have a whole bunch of PAI flightplans that can't be executed because there either isn't enough parking spaces, or the parking spaces don't have the real-world airline designators on them.

The PAI AFCAD files for the airports corrects both problems.

ah yes, i installed the AFCAD and the AA planes go to terminals A and C at KDFW instead of delta terminal D and internatioanl terminal B. i even had an A300 at the Fedex area! the AFCAD fixed this, but do i have to do this for almost every other major airport?

Well there is a file on that page that contains probably hundreds of AFCADs or more for many popular airports.  That was kind of the one I was directing you to, I guess I should have been more specific.  I assume then that you downloaded just one AFCAD for KDFW? If so go back to that page and look on the lower right hand side for the offical AFCAD package.

The files you want are the "Official AFCAD standard package" and "General User AFCAD standard package". These are found on the Project AI AFCAD page if you scroll down. These install with the PAI installer and contain several hundred AFCAD files covering the major airports of the world.

To get rid of your MS default traffic, go to your main FS folder, and go to Scenery\World\Scenery, locate the file Traffic030528.bgl and rename the extension to .lgb to stop FS using it.

Then, if you want to get you general aviation traffic back, there is a reinstaller for just this part in the project AI files section.
