FS2004 is too outdated, FSX is very buggy and Flight does not do it for me. I consider moving to Prepar3D, since it looks like a great alternative that will further evolve.
But the question is, can it be used as a personal flight simulator? Just like MSFS? It's advertised as a training/professional simulation software, but are there any major differences between this and FSX?

Prepar3D is FSX.
Just sold to Lockheed. They just improved the Engine.
MS Flight is the leftovers from FSXI, just never finalized and trimmed to minimum. Whereas FSXI was just optimized FSX code.
