I'm now accepting entries for the Official (Non Edited) November 2011 Contest.

This is your chance to win an aircraft of your choice from our sponsors....

Theme - Flight Decks

Your screenshot must be taken from the cockpit of your chosen aircraft.

Rules are simple.
One entry per person.
Your shot must follow the theme.
FS9 and FSX shots accepted.
No bigger than 1024 x 768 pixels and 256kb file size.
Has to be uploaded to FSW.
No editing. This includes sharpening, cropping or using ENBSeries Mod.
Any entries that do not follow these rules will not be entered.

Send your shot to me via Private Message by Saturday 5th November and I'll look at starting the contest that evening (UK time).

I agree, I wouldn't mind the size limit being raised.

I'm not sure if Brad/Jon would appreciate having shots for their Official Screenshot contest uploaded anywhere other than FSW.

I know its a unedited contest, but just to make sure can I just crop out a very small part to get rid of red writing? I will not do any other work on it other than that

I think it is fully possible to produce exellent photos with the current photosize limit+size limit

The pic Swarley posted was only 900 x 557 and looks fine.

I would have entered but the ENB bloom verboten rule blows!   Most people use it as default -like setting anyway!

It's difficult to distinguish a shot with ENB from one which has been edited.
That's why that rule is there.

Wider screens mean wider shots hence a smaller total image size with the limits you've given us to work with. its not just the image size by file size as well which at the best of times is almost always larger than the limit.

I think we need a complete overhaul of the screenshot contests. the limits should be removed and that should be done by allowing us to upload to a different site and linking it or to give allowances for larger file sizes for contests ONLY

We've only just upped the size from 800 to 1024 which everyone seemed to agree with.
I've used your shot here as an example.


Is the quality of this shot really that bad.?

I want the pics uploaded to FSW because I respect the fact that this is an OFFICIAL contest and therefore I think it's only right for them to be uploaded here.
I'll also admit to not being a fan of images being hosted on other sites in general as they can be frustratingly slow sometimes and the last thing I want is people complaining if, during a contest, a site like imgur or imageshack goes tit's up.
