im using fsx and i installed the scenery even though it is for fs2004 and the only things that a wrong when it is in fsx are the geographical positiong and some of the textures pretty much everything else works so if thats the case it shouldnt be really that hard to convert the rest should it ?
id love for this to be for fsx aswell the airport has got some really amazing features

this sound promising
could you give some screenshots from your PC?
so we know what needs touch up.
we just might be able to hammer out this version for FSX

and i have found out how to make the airport AND any other GMAX model OR AFCAD file usable for FSX.
FSX has a weird way of doing things but its not difficult to reformat stuff to make them work right.
you can still use DXTbmp to reformat the FS9 textures to work in FSX >> 2 items change them to DDS DXT1 AND you must Invert the images upside down.
as for the gmax models they DO carry over to FSX with no changes needed.
AFCAD files can be converted to the proper format using ADE *airport Design Editor.
its able to open FS9 AF2 files and then save them to the right format FSX can use. the files from my test show they DO NOT need any adjustments and show up in the same exact position properly.
SOOOOO it CAN be done! and its very easy too.
yes iv been gone for a bit but have caught up to speed quickly with knowing how to manipulate anything for FSX , i was also reluctant to jump to the new platform right away knowing there would not be much content ready and know how to overcome development obstacles to hammer out.
THANKS to Jon5700 in youtube hes made it very convincing to finally jump in. the scenery is AMAZING!
