Before we start, this is NOT a NO-CD crack. This is for people where Disk 2 doesn't work in the installation of FSX.

Edit: Certain versions of Nero's InCD application can cause one or both disks to appear empty.

1. Create a folder on your desktop called FSX.
2. Copy the contents of Disk one to this folder.
3. Swap Disk 1 for Disk 2.
4. Restart.
5. Copy the files from disk two into the FSX folder on your desktop (a few files have the same name, they are unimportant, but don't overwrite).
6. Now you can take the discs out if you want. And start the installation by double clicking setup.exe in the FSX folder on your desktop.
7. After installation insert your product key and activate as normal.
8. Feel free to delete that FSX folder on your desktop, it'll be huge. FSX runs without any discs in.

I'm just going to make that bold since you're the one who found the restart with Disc 2 in the drive bit.

Hey i've tried wats stated above but i still get errors and just can't install it, i think i've got a corrupted disk or something, if it's corrupted how does one go about getting MS to replace it?

$120 aud and u'd expect it to install and work hey...

Take it back to the store, call M$ and they'll send out a fresh set, the options are many...

That sounds good except i've miss placed my receipt. I've got the record of purchase on my netbank accounts and on my statements, will that do?

What is another option?

Sorry for being a pain ahha

A bank statement is sufficient proof of purchase.

Having just dealt with it today, I want to let everyone know that MS now has a disk replacement charge for disks damaged after purchase of $23 plus $5 shipping (www.flightsimhq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=119237&view=findpost&p=1464687).

It makes it even more important to use the method in the OP to avoid needing the disk in the drive to use FS... or to rip a perfect copy of the disk.

Why would you want to do use this cure if you've already installed it and have it working.

There is no advantage at all by installing this way, it's just for those who have a problem recognising disk 2.
