Kamakazi - keep this type of post updated and I will keep it pinned at the top.  This is good to know information.

PS - The home page of Vatsim has additional events.  It also may be worth a look on various ARTCCs to get more localized.

PSS - I wonder if there can be a better format to post this stuff... perhaps a calendar type view of some sort.

It needs to be something that is easy to read and easy to determine if you are available... ie a calendar.
Most of the time these get outdated or only have half the events... hmm...  how to make a decent calendar?

If it is a calendar everybody should be able to submit events so you can ensure nearly all events are added.

Well we can probably get a calendar added to the forums, and have a separate one for VATSIM events.

Who has web skills? You know what would be slick?

A web page thats is more or less an map with pins located on it.  Each pin would represent an event.  If you however over the pin more event details would come up.  Similar to this...

http://www.mthake.co...au_blue_map.php

Also with a calendar below.

You could probably do that with Google Maps.

I may look into a website to do this - however I'd allow some form of membership so I wouldn't need to update it :hrmm:

I have access to a calendar here that we can add events too.  However, we would need to come up with a format so all of the information is current, accurate and up to date.

See here:  http://www.flightsim...hp?act=calendar

You have to go to the bottom and separate the multiplayer calendar from the BDay calendar.

Let me know what your thoughts are.  I added only two events as a test. Add some more.
However, I still think it would be nice to have a graphical interface (like google maps) to show the upcoming events.

a) Since when did we have a calendar?

:hrmm: You had access to the calendar all this time and you didn't tell me !? :hrmm:

c) For the format, have it the same format as the original post.

Date
Time (Zulu)

Quick Summary
Link to More Info/ Booking

Btw, you are missing the more info link for this event:

HERE.

d) This would work out if we have a set of people who are allowed to edit the calendar besides the staff.
