Right click the F@H icon in the system tray, and press "Configure..."

Make sure the team number says 49149. If it doesn't say that, make it say that.

GPU 'deadlines' are short. Sometimes with a small WU, the deadline is less than 24hrs. If you pass the deadline your F@H program will download another WU which would be why your progress resets back to 0%.

24/7 Folding is the way to go! Especially because of your system, you will be top 10 in a matter of days :hrmm: .

I see you got a 511 update - one of the most extensive and large WU's available on the GPU client. Keep it going, look forward to the team rank decreasing by the hour  :hrmm:.

Yh, i left home today at around 1400 and returned at 1930 and saw my computer was practically dead but still running. Restarted (had to flick the switch on the PSU) and woke back to a after sleep state with the mouse and keyboard now working. rebooted it and got the keyboard to work but the mouse took a little fiddling around with. Am I right in thinking that windows 7 put the computer to sleep automatically? there were no usual sounds coming from the GPU and i also changed the settings to never sleep as it was set to 30 mins 10 mins ago

If you changed the power settings to never go to sleep, then I am sure that is what happened. Turn all that off if you are folding, so the folding@home programs will stay open.

yh, turned them off now so when I go out it does it. Folding now as a matter of fact :hrmm:

how long does it take for the statistics here to update?

Stats on the website you linked to are iffy. Sometimes they are updated every hour or so, then again sometimes they won't update for hours at a time. A good website to check your stats is http://kakaostats.com/t.php?t=49149. Stats are updated every 3 hours. Kakao will also show what rank you will be in 24hrs, in a week, and in a month.

Download FahMon to track your folding status when it's running.  Follow instructions on how to locate your Folding@Home GPU folder.  This tracker gives you information on what work unit you are currently working on, when that specific work unit expires by, and the points you will be rewarded for completing the work unit.  It also shows your total Points per day (PPD) that your machine is capable of producing & also shows an estimated time your work unit will be completed.

You don't get points until you finish a WU. Having it on for a couple hours at a time should get some WU's completed. Do what Toby recommended with FahMon...It'll help you track your folding progress and time til completion.

Just bumped up to the 37 spot :hrmm: and about 51% into a 472 point project

does GPUs with temps at 48-55 for long periods of time (morning to evening) shorten the lifespan? or have the fan at 100% degrade the fan?

You'll be fine. Those temps aren't extreme - Nothing to worry about. My GPU is 24/7 folding w/ 85% fan speed and it's doing just fine.

Great to hear your contributing to the team!! Good to see other members helping out the cause :hrmm:.

You have nothing to worry about iranair.  Those temps are very low and well into the safe operating temperatures of your graphics card.  At the pace your going you should see the Top 10 spot very soon!

its not the temps im worried about but if its going to impact on the lifespan of my pc :hrmm:

Anyway, it is normal for the program to keep stop starting? the performance and time left blanks out for about 3 seconds then comes back up for another 2 then goes and repeats. The last few WU's I did it wasnt like this at all but extremely smooth and quick. also performance when it shows goes from ~80-150 then back down then blank :s

You're talking about the viewer on the GPU Client Program? Don't open that - It'll decrease the performance of folding on your GPU...Might even lock it up.
