This is a flight I did from FSBreaks $100 Northern Italy Hamburger Run. They have a weekly podcast and develop a $100 run each week. Highly recommended as their flights come with a charts and a story.
This will be a multimedia smörgåsbord. I have some screen shots from this flight, a picture or two of me flying this flight.... and one last image I snapped while atop the campanile in Church of San Giorgio Maggiore.
So, a little background on my flight. I determined that (due to time constraints) I was left by in Venice by the rest of my backpacking friends. I ate pizzas for a week and then would still beat them back to Firenze. My route :
Vataware Route
I took this up on Vatsim (little ATC)... so I would have a record of the flight. I trekked at 8500. Any higher in altitude and my EGT and pressure fell out the bottom of the barrel. I don't know why it was doing this but I suspect it was a REX wx shift of some sort giving me weird barometric pressures. Any way, I cranked up SkyBlue Radio and away we went. The plan was a beauty and quite scenic. The pizza was great... and not I am staring at the Duomo di Firenze.
It was a nice flight.
Benjamin.

Great shots, Bman! Loved the tour as it reminded me of my 3 months living in Italy - Venice is incredible, and seeing that last shot definitely made my day!

Ha - I get that lefty comment a lot. I guess all lefties do. Minus the ink smudges on the left pinkie palm, lefties rule.
Thanks for the comments on the setup. It will be changed up slightly tonight. I am adding a shelf that will elevate the three monitors. I have the 3 Saitek Pro Flight boxes that I will put below the monitors (radios, nav, gear etc). I look forward to running to lowe's tonight...

Ahh - the reflectors are what make it work (well half of it anyway). It's the part that when you move your head, the sensor on top of the LCDs you see there see where my head has moved and it is then translated in to the VC (or exterior views).
Best thing that ever happened to simming.
