Ok so ive realized how much fun i can have with sbuilderx! The progress so far has taken me about half a day to acheive...it looks awesome, i got slightly confused on how to get the runways to not show and still use the lights, so i used the ice runway texture and made its opacity fully transparent  :hrmm: It has a summer texture, hard winter texture, and a night texture.

Only need to complete the afcad now so my aircraft wizz around it  :hrmm:

I know someone will ask, so...the image the background is derrived form yahoo maps thus it cant be released  :P If someone can confirm, if i texture over the original map with my own grass and textures can it then be released?

Ok so things are coming along nicely...ive opted to use my own grass overlay and concrete textures to mask the sat image...seems to be working good, i can also now use the default taxiway lines and keep things simple  :hrmm: also as you can see lots of objects now bein added and the Ai are now moving and taxiing taking off and landing!

Things left to do, finish and tidy up all the taxiways, add baggage carts, pushback trucks, etc to apron...lighting poles for the roads. correct offset objects like the papi boxes...

Finally i use the bloom mod and i think it gives off a more realistic feel to the sim, Picture 8 and 9 are a comparison with it on and off..

Great work there! You should hit the terminals and model them up. You obviously have talent in scenery design as well as videos !  :hrmm:

right as suggested ive had a go at modeling the terminal area and carpark...im still not convinced that the texture placement is going to be high enough rez.

If anyone has any good tips for texturing long terminals in one go please let me know.

anyhow got to see if i can export this now  :hrmm:

So its ingame...i think with some 2048 textures i can get it to look pretty good. It isnt going to be anything fantastic, but its a learning curve ive enjoyed  :hrmm:

You should be proud of this, wish I had the knowledge to model even with easier programs.

So the lighting work is nearly complete...its looking good! most of the taxiway lights have a glowing light some don't becasue of the limits that the default lights have, but your not going to miss them much. Adding to that the runway lights, endings and strobes also have their own light poles. The terminal is now exported using the FSX compiler so the building have a nice shine when is certain lighting conditions.
