181,000 an hour to use Airforce 1

http://www.foxnews.c...-travel-record/

here comes a flame war, but you never saw em once talk about Bush's 8 years of travel on that bird, Obama hasn't even reached half that time and its already on the front page :hrmm:

brought to you by neither a democrat or a republican, just common sense.

apparently he's set a record.......lol record or not its just funny how they presented the title.

That's because Bush didn't set a record for most days abroad in first two years of office.  If he did, it would have been on the news.  But he didn't.

Mystery solved. :hrmm:

No public official should be using taxpayer funds like this unless it is for official business. Thank God Speaker Boehner will be flying commercially unlike the current dirt bag :hrmm:

Hmmm...

If he wants to then let him, you aren't the president of the US and I doubt you can stop him from flying on Airforce 1.

Its like why don't we send the president of the United States of America, one of the most powerful country's in the world and put him on a normal plane which has no protection from missile's, EMP's,etc. No way of directing the country/military in a national crisis and no security on board. Lets see how long he last.

Here we go...

I know, I forgot I have to support everybody else in the topic, otherwise I am automatically blamed for a flame war  :hrmm: what a failure of a system.

EDIT: you do realize that the statement of which you are questioning has really nothing to do with politics : /

Nah. You're just an idiot. Your presence is enough for a flame war.

Well if he wants to go somewhere for some logistical reason then what are you suggesting? Fly on Airforce 1 or not.

Why don't you re-read my post? I think the answer to that question is pretty well noted in there.

Ok, so, if Obama wants to go on vacation then what do you want him to fly on?

Honestly that post made no sense. Re-read my post. Also, read: the difference between its and it's.

Buy a :hrmm: plane ticket! People don't pay taxes so the president can go on vacation, he gets paid enough as it is.

That price is pretty cheap, to be honest.

I doubt it will happen anytime soon but, lets say for argument's sake, North Korea decides to go buzzurk and launch a full scale assault on South Korea and the president is enjoying is wonderful, extremely long flight on Air New Zealand from LAX to Auckland so he can vacation with his family.  His advisors, cabinet, military team, etc. etc. etc. all need to talk to him immediately and privately about said North Korean insanity.  What do they do?
