It does look nice! But wondering if we are looking at an upcoming just a GA-only type flying Sim? Like "Rise of flight" I have seen no "heavies" or big airports as of yet!

Doesn't work for me.  I did see the video on YouTube and it seemed stutter free.  I also watched it on the website and it was completely stutter free.  Obviously it is a problem with the buffering for some people.

No offense, Franthree, but please stop with your wild theories about Flight. If Microsoft were to completely axe jetliners, then Flight probably wouldn't go over well with a large portion of the MSFS fanbase.

looks great I reckon. Aside from the obvious shadows/tree improvements ect, it seems to have a kind of depth to the image that FSX lacks. Just looks more 'real' to me.

Rise of Flight isn't a GA sim....It's a WW1 sim. I hope you wouldn't expect any spitfires or 747s in Rise of flight

Looks not bad, I hope the put some effort into the flight models on their default aircraft.

I see some references to the stutters being blamed on Silverlight.  I watch a lot of free TV on a network television stations website and they use Silverlight for all their TV shows.  I haven't had any stutter issues with them.

Video probably ain't optimized right or something.. I watched the video linked by switch, no silverlight, no stutters.. cant compare it to the flight website because I don't wanna install silverlight.

It looks good, there are a few changes i can see and i hope the fps are friendly. Im not much a a flight sim enthusiast so correct me if im wrong but microsoft are still in development and it not the final product yet

Silverlight or not I see micro-stutters either way. I really hope they didn't use the same engine because that's what it's starting to look like. The shadows are what I would expect. The water is nothing special. At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if the end product was nothing more than a DX10 version of FSX with DX11 preview.

Stuttering or not, this is a big improvement from FSX...  at least in performance.
