I don't get the impression that they are that committed to using all the resources available to make their trailers. I thought some of the previous webisodes were edited in a rather amateurish way. The panning around the cockpit seemed to be what panning with the keyboard looked like in FSX rather than using a fluid effect (eg. like TrackIR or some other camera trickery could produce).

They want to show their work and their work only. If Flight won't include it in the release, then they shouldn't use it. Showing what the sim is capable of without add-ons is what I'd rather see. And that's what we got with webisode 3. Apparently, it is capable of a lot already.

No offense, Franthree, but please stop with your wild theories about Flight. :hrmm: If Microsoft were to completely axe jetliners, then Flight probably wouldn't go over well with a large portion of the MSFS fanbase.

Yep. Easy to say that majority of the simmers out there have never touched anything except the default jets (which are horrible, to say at least).

Actually they could have used SHIFT + O to get smooth panning...

About time a new webisode came out. I can see quite some improvements already, especially with the lighting and shadows.

I hope they provide us with some new screenshots too.

I'm going to be cautious for the time being. Won't trust a thing about how good it performs until the day the average gamer can publicly declare it so.

Don't want to beat this thread to death :hrmm:  but why does anyone want a new sim anyhow? :hrmm: FSX and FS-9 look great with all the add-ons available! It will be years before devlopers start making add-ons for 'Flight" anyway! :P

Maybe because FSX is inherently flawed and cannot be fixed, no matter what.

Yes we are all aware.  It has been 5 years now since we have known this.  I think it's about time to stop beating the dead horse.  A green unidentified liquid is starting to ooze from it.

I was merely answering what had been asked.

Has anybody noticed the "MicroSoft Live" caption on the bottom?

Hmm,  $20 a month for the privilege of gaming/flying with dorks?
