That tutorial is just as incorrect. You can mess around with the default autopilot all you want but you won't get it to fly a Category III ILS autoland for you. With all kinds of hocus pocus magic tricks you might be able to get it to fly the plane onto the runway but that's only a tiny part of a realistic autoland procedure.

Get real guys.  :D

Also the takeoff part of this tutorial is ridiculous.

Really, I wonder how much FS and aviation knowledge -- if any -- the guy who wrote this tutorial has.

That kind of rotation in a B747 at MTOW... ROFLMAO  "Flaps to around 25"... Oh jesus. Do I even need to mention on modern Airbuses you have flaps position numbers, not degrees? How about aircraft that don't even have a 25-degree flaps position?

Most of that stuff just sucks. Sorry
To each his own. However if you've read this thread it has helped a lot of people. You are in no position to put it down.

I know it seems that way, but actually there are images dating back to day one here. When you no longer see the images it usually means they were hosted on another site and are no longer there.

I bet a lot of people think that exact same way, but hat's off to Brad and Jon for keeping everything (and I mean everything) up from the whole two years. By the way, here's a shot that was uploaded 1-1/2 years ago. Do you recognize it?

I've also noticed that the blondepages.com site seems to have turned into one of those annoying directory sites.  The domain must have expired.  Or sold.

Sorry for the bump

BTW: How was that image with the reflection done?  Two layers in PS, mirrored vert., a selection taken out from the top layer to show out the second, and a water-like ripple effect applied to the underlying layer?

Does landing using ILS take longer than a visual landing, i have flown both to the same airport.  When flying ILS the landing procedure takes much longer, but when went witht the visual landing i didn't have to go on such a long route and was landed much quicker?  Is there a difference in time or is it just me being stupid?
