Add-ons may have to be bought that way, but it is likely that freeware may still be available through the major flight sim sites, considering Simv, Avsim, SimFlight, flightsim, and Fly Away Simulations were invited to Redmond to meet the team. Why invite all of them if they are left out in the end?

That's been my experience. Especially in the case of one of my online friends that I flew with in multiplayer once and he kept having other players' aircraft substituted by an FS9 aircraft, which ended up really hurting his FPS.
