I find the number of pilots who cannot file a flight plan correctly ridiculous. They need to be stricter. The first thing is callsigns. These do not consists of anything but the ICAO and and up to 5 digits or a mixture of digits and numbers. A correct callsign would be BER54J or AAL125. (with the exclusion of military flights). This means it should be FR-123 or FLYAWAY002. You also see things like 'newbie B)' and 'i'm a noob', or 'quite new but getting better :hrmm:' in the remarks. People need to understand the meaning of flight plan remarks.

Just need to get that off my chest...

Because you're such a seasoned old vet, right? How old are you anyway, 15?

While I to would like to see a improvement in flightplans/callsigns/etc, I've realized not everyone has access or is able to put things like One of My Vataware Flights remarks/route . You just gotta let it go. Not everyone is perfect.

You need to calm down dude. If you're irritated about something as small as that, you will have a heart attack flying in real life with atc and some of the pilots out there.

Also to add your complaint about remarks -

http://vataware.com/....cfm?id=8797682 is far from the real remarks.

It is a simulation for a reason...not everyone is going to have the same standards as you, nor should they.  People will fly at a level that is comfortable for them or that they feel to be enough.

Relax, everyone starts from somewhere and if they stick to Vatsim I'm sure they will get better and better over the months. Would you also be mad at the remarks box if it mentioned if the user was death or something on the lines of that?

I forgot that VATSIM was a professional community and only professional pilots were allowed on. It's supposed to be a community of all abilities to learn and further their skills.

You are extremely obnoxious, iain.

Not obnoxious. He's a little kid - doesn't know any better. There's a difference.

You should talk, when I looked you up on the vatsim statistics you've flew the following call signs:

'VUELING" 1/22/09
"SPEEDBIRD" 3/7/09
"LIGHTNING" 5/9/09
"EASYJET" 8/12/09
"AIRFORCE1" 9/19/09 - Bet you thought you'd get special treatment for that one huh?  :hrmm:

..and to top it off, I was on LAX_CTR's frequency when you flew some Skywest flight from LAX-LAS and you couldn't follow his simple instructions. You've got no right to complain about noobs on vatsim when you yourself are a noob. If they were any stricter I am afraid you'd be in trouble bud.

Iain, you get all hung up on professionalism, yet you fail to realise, this is a hobby, we don't need to be like real world pilots. If vatsim was like that, than none of us on here could fly on it.
