Hard to take a simulator seriously too when the moment you turn off the engine the landing gear is automatically extended.

Maybe thats a feature of the IconA5 ? No idea.

No, it's extended instantly, just to help the player.

Everything is functional on the cockpit, except the engine switch.

I can't taxi on the ground with my joystick, but with the mouse I can.

Yes, I'm running the leaked copy. But I doesn't see how that could be a problem. Isn't it identical to the beta?

So you're using a pirated copy of a beta?! And making yourself feel better by saying its leaked? :thumbs

I can neither confirm nor deny that.

I find this most curious, since the only file available for installing Flight is a single, tiny executable file. The actual content is only made available for download after one has entered a single-use license code that the user receives via email.

Since MS's database tracks the single-use license codes, once having been redeemed, that code is locked out, so it should not be possible for more than one use of a code to occur.

anyone can download the beta.. and use it... you only need the key if u want to go online and get the stearman. all you need is the link to the beta page... not very hard to get. in fact.. even if it wasn't leaked you can easily hack the flight website using basic web developer tools to get there. which funny enough.. would be much harder to do if they just used flash. :hrmm: at microsoft silverlight

Oh, I see. Most interesting. Of course using that method one would not get the updates or new content that's being pushed on demand to legitimate testers.

Just tested the beta performance on my business laptop, looking pretty solid. Core i5 @ 2.6 + 4GB RAM + Intel HD3000
Produced 35-40 fps in medium settings. No stutters too. :hrmm:
