Does the beta get updated at all? And if it does, does it get updated with things you have reported to the website?

No-one can answer this? Just a simple "yes" or "no" will suffice.

It's safe to say there have been improvements and fixes since initial beta.

That's certainly odd. Everyone was pushed a core update early last week.

If you haven't reported any/many bugs, you will not get updated content.

Have the updates fixed any of the user's concerns or just bugs?

:hrmm: B)

Not sure where you're getting this nonsense, but it's really not helping.

I am pretty sure that you get an update by opening the Games for Windows application, which I haven't done nor do I intend to do. Because my login fails for no apparent reason every time I try to log in.

Nonsense?
lol, ok.  Whatever.
Things have been done.  Because of the NDA, I can't talk about them.  About 2 weeks ago, there was a large "test" and people who participated were given new content.
Those who did not take part, did not receive the new content.
Believe it or don't.

^ I have no idea what the qualifiers are for beta participants. If it helps, I have purchased a few products (rather pricey products, at that) from the Microsoft store in the past. Perhaps they're giving priority to people who are regular customers?

I am a beta participant. I have not received a patch.

In fact, the Flight beta doesn't even show up in the GFWL Marketplace application. Unless there's some other way to get a patch, of course. I was under the assumption that GFWL acts like Steam and would update my games automatically, perhaps that's not the case :hrmm:.

I obviously don't know the extent of your bug reporting or your level of participation in the Flight forums, but since, as you put it, I'm not helping with my nonsensical posts, we might just leave it there.

I just got spammed with Content Packs from MS lol. Too bad I uninstalled it the day the beta testing began!

Only 150 of the one who participated were randomly picked by the Flight team....and NO I am not a beta tester.

I've done zero bug reporting and the upgrade/patch was pushed to me. My bug reporting account is not the same as my Live gaming account. I did, however, address issues the first few weeks in various threads.

Off the top of my head, the message said "There's currently an update for Microsoft Flight, if you choose not to accept the following update, you will be signed out of Live Games and be returned to your desktop."

Hence it being pushed onto you.

So you HAVE done some bug reporting then.

I'm not the one setting out why some people got content and some didn't.  I'm going by what I was told by a Flight dev team member.
It's not really grounds for any kind of debate.
If you got the content...GREAT!  If not, the message was, if you didn't report any issues or bugs, you will not get updated content.

Bug reporting != Posting positive messages to people having nuclear meltdowns.

I've done nothing. I've played the game 3 times tops. Feel free to find my posts, I share the same account name there that I do on here.

But again, in case you missed it the first time and second time, I didn't do any bug reporting. Unless Microsoft's beta teams are run by retards, which isn't far fetched of an idea, to be honest, I can't see why they would interpret miscellaneous superfluous text as bug reporting.

Then I don't know what the deal is.  I'm only going by what I was told.

Put less faith in weird and wildly improbable scenarios. What you were told sounds eerily similar to a save-face moment by a representative. I was disappointed by Flight, but thoroughly enjoy FSX these days. I have no qualms about Flight. It's just sad it took us 6 years to get hardware that runs FSX like a dream. Though I'm still holding out for a Keplar chip. :hrmm:

At that, I sometimes feel like Flight should have been FSX SP3. :hrmm:
