Here's a solution: Don't buy anything until Microsoft drops the prices.

For the lazy:

Hawaiian Adventure Pack - 1600 Microsoft Points ($20 USD).
Maule M-7-260C - 1200 Microsoft Points ($15 USD).
North American P-51 Mustang (no VC) -  640 Microsoft Points ($8 USD).

Total (just for addons available at release): $43 USD.

As opposed to FSX (Deluxe & Acceleration), with 23 aircraft, 107 missions, the whole world, and countless additional 3rd party addons, all at the price of $30 USD, I think the choice is clear.

Well, yeah, of course it will be.  Public betas are typically feature complete, and with the Flight beta being this late in development, and open for anyone to apply to, I'm pretty sure it's essentially the same as what's planned for release.

$20 for one state...... and how big is hawaii compared to the rest of world?

not to mention you're paying for what should be fsx sp3..... not a new next gen updated flight sim

and even at $8 a plane..... 20 planes and that's $160


remember also... you're not spending your money on the one addon you've really wanted for months..... you're spending it on building the simulator... i mean game, itself... just to make it usable...

Still doesn`t mean I would waste money on virtual hats.  Even if you have money, put it to productive use instead of buying a virtual hat which isn`t going to do
