Then don't make condescending comments about having a job?

We aren't telling you how to spend your money. We're just trying to stop you from spending it in a stupid way.

Your statement is completely contradictory. Furthermore, this is all a matter of opinion.

I laughed because there is no way on the face of this earth that I'm going to pay over $600 USD for default scenery that used to cost $50 in previous games.

What difference does it make if it's told on a forum, you're making a fallacy.

You shouldn't care about where it's told, but you should look into what is actually being told and evaluating that.

And ms are going to give one tiny rats :hrmm: about what we think on this thread.

Again, spend your money the way you want, if you think it's poor value for money, tough luck, I don't find it expensive but I won't buy it because I think it is shite, I will wait for the op to give his review as he has been the most excited about this game since day 1, we all know he wil crumble under the pressure and buy it!

The thing is, they don't add anything to the game. They are purely aesthetic; so not buying into all the hats won't take anything away from the game. People must be buying them because Valve isn't out of business. :hrmm:

Granted, MSF is different, because, by not buying their pricey scenery, you are missing out on flying in places you wouldn't normally fly in.

Very few people do because you can get these items from dropping, crafting or trading. It's just really hard to do.

$20 for one state...... and how big is hawaii compared to the rest of world?

not to mention you're paying for what should be fsx sp3..... not a new next gen updated flight sim

and even at $8 a plane..... 20 planes and that's $160
remember also... you're not spending your money on the one addon you've really wanted for months..... you're spending it on building the simulator... i mean game, itself... just to make it usable...

Okay, it's a little expensive, but supposedly Microsoft has upped the quality on the new aircraft and scenery - no more generic landclass?
It's an expensive hobby.

Microsoft and quality do not even belong in the same sentence.  :hrmm:

Well, that completely depends on what expectations you have..

Personally if i am going to pay much for extra scenery i would expect it to be very good, because good and high quality scenery, or add-ons in general takes a long time to make.

I doubt that MS could ever be able to make as good products as as FlyTampa, FSDreamteam, ORBX, Carenado, PMDG, LevelD..etc

You may ask why i think so, and i'll answer right away: Because those guys put their heart and soul into making their products as good as they can possibly be, unlike Microsoft who only speask the language og $$$$

Of course i could be wrong, and i welcome MS to prove me wrong, but in my opinion it doesen't make any sense not to include the entire globe.

To me, Flight seems like a prison, not allowed to move outside hawaii unless you pay for it. Kinda reminds me of the lyrics in the song "Hotel California by the Eagles" :hrmm:

thanks for clarifying that.. in my opinion that highlights my point even further... maybe they make some 100000 feet tall rusty iron poles around Oahu, just to try and make it more real?  :hrmm:

I have a friend who makes a good living out of making stuff like this for people to buy for their online characters.

I don't mind the purchases for stuff - but if it EVER goes down the "rent for 3days" route like some other multiplayer games (BFP4F/KillZone etc).. :hrmm:
