Welcome aboard, enjoy the flight down to Key West! B)

Preparing for pushback in ATL, downtown in the background. Our flying time today will be about 1 hour 25 minutes down to Key West and our flightplan takes us along the western coast of Florida.

Posted Image

Airborn from runway 09L at ATL, flying the THRSHR6 departure and climbing FL390.

Posted Image

Turning on course, some neat weather!

Posted Image

Just south of Tampa is this very cool formation on the ground, Rotonda Golf & Country Club!

Posted Image

We have begun our descent in to the Keys, a few cloud layers to break through before we can see the stunning waters surrounding the islands.

Posted Image

Breaking out of the first layer we can begin to see some of the beautiful waters in the distance.

Posted Image

Turning a 10 mile final runway 09 in KEYW, this will be a full flaps landing with MAX autobreaks, for those who do not know, KEYW runway is published as 4,801ft!

Posted Image

Cuba far in the distance, how far? About 80nm south of where we are on final;

Posted Image

Fully established on final approach, what a view!

Posted Image

Short final!

Posted Image

Vacating at the very end of the runway, didn't need quite all of it, but rolled out to the end as our gate is on the far east movement.

Posted Image

At the gate, shut down.

Posted Image

Gulfstream in the background, chillin. Enjoy the southernmost point of Continental United States!

See you next time. :hrmm:
