Shalom and greetings all my pals,

You can own a jet engine at home and use it in your house' garden or backyard.

Check this out about L1011's Rolls Royce engine at home

Maybe I should get MONSTER ENGINES GE90 for my home.  It will for sure wake up entire neighborhood.

Aharon

Who would want something like this? It's cool for about an hour, then it just makes your yard look like you're a high tech redneck.

If I had a large house, one on static display would be nice in the front garden.

For someone who needed a new laptop instead of a desktop, I find it quite amusing how you must have then a studio apartment with a huge garden if you want a GE90 in the back yard!

(as ive read) The guy aquired it from cardiff airport i think, they gave it to him. To be fair hes done awfully well to get that running. I wouldnt dare run that up without an overhaul, the guy has some balls!

Haha, that or Monster Trent 1000s! I got to tour a Rolls Royce turbine engine overhaul shop at KAFW, and we got to take a look at the room where they run up their RB-211s, and Trent 800s after overhaul. The room is huge, and the engines are huge!

It's really impressive that guy was able to get that thing running with all the complexities involved!

It takes 1 pilot to get an aircraft with massive jet engines running, but it takes an entire skilled team days to startup an MRI machine
