You can own a jet engine at home and use it in your house' garden or backyard.
Check this out about L1011's Rolls Royce engine at home
Maybe I should get MONSTER ENGINES GE90 for my home. It will for sure wake up entire neighborhood.

Haha, that or Monster Trent 1000s! I got to tour a Rolls Royce turbine engine overhaul shop at KAFW, and we got to take a look at the room where they run up their RB-211s, and Trent 800s after overhaul. The room is huge, and the engines are huge!
It's really impressive that guy was able to get that thing running with all the complexities involved!

It takes 1 pilot to get an aircraft with massive jet engines running, but it takes an entire skilled team days to startup an MRI machine
