So I just got the GP Hero3 Black for Christmas. This is my first shot of it in action. It's a fun little camera; really difficult not having a view-finder or live-view on the camera. However being that it's such a wide angle lens you can pretty much guarantee it will capture everything.

Anyways, cheers!

I've tried the app, it works intermittently for me. It's not worth the hassle, not to mention the 7 second delay over wifi. I'll probably use it for some application though.

Yeah, I've noticed the wifi killing the battery. Does yours get pretty warm? I've noticed mine getting warm after not even much use.

The battery life on these things has always been terrible (even worse when it's cold), and the wifi just accentuates that. I think the best accessory you can get is the battery bacpac, or even an additional battery ($20 at bestbuy) if you won't be able to charge it right away.

Yeah, the app is nifty, but I just cant see myself fiddling around with it in reality. It's kind of a hassle imo. I'm going on vacation in May '13 so I'll be picking up a few accessories prior to that, a battery being one of those.

Technically this is my first camera, I figured it would be a fun P&S fisheye with great video capabilities. I don't do any exciting sports or extreme stuff, but it's a pretty cool camera even so.
