Here's my take on the AA rebranding. I did begin to make a livery and spent a lot of time on it but couldn't decide what looks good, so left it out. I'm also somewhat undecided on the logo. I originally had it in upper-case but changed my mind to make it lower-case. Now I have no idea which is best.

The one thing that many criticised about the new logo/livery was the absence of the eagle. An icon of both AA and the USA, I think this should be kept. For this reason, I incorporated it into my design, but with a modern twist.

So anyway, here is the first variation:

I then tried some variations and in the end this was the result:

And American Eagle:

Then the classic 'AA' logo. As I created this I noticed it was actually looked very similar to the existing logo, and I think it may even be identical (with the exception of the eagle). But anyway I kept it the same, so this logo is very similar to before but with the modern twist of the eagle featured in the rest:

Comments welcome :)

I like them all, but the first one is sweet.  To me, it gives the company a professional/top class look.

I like em all!

I don't get the American Eagle one though - what's the story behind that?

It's funny, after seeing this thread one of the first things that came to mind was "Man, I really want to make a repaint with that first and last image as inspiration".  I think I might actually go ahead with it (if it's alright with you).  Haven't painted in years and for some reason I really want to paint a T7 with that first & last image as inspiration.

Well let's see it :P  It's weird, I've never been good at creating a fictional livery but for some odd reason, when I saw your pics, I got this really neat idea in my head.  For sure it will probably look a bit too "executive" but if I was in charge of AA, I'd rather go that route than what they chose for their new livery.  It's okay, but it just seems too simple and amateur.
