Anyhow, I'm still flying -- in the sim (less often, admittedly), and for real! Just had my first solo cross country last weekend.

Today, I'm fulfilling my aviation dreams I've had since childhood, the ones which were bolstered and brought to fruition by you good folks. I'm commissioning as a student naval aviator in less than a month and a half, and last summer I was blessed with the opportunity to take a ride in my dream aircraft, the F/A-18 Hornet.

And here's a neat video too! These things are literally magical, man. The speed, the performance, it's unreal. On our way out from the range they gave me the stick for about ten minutes, and.....everything clicked. I was sold. And now I'm off to naval flight school in Pensacola before the end of the year, and life is just fantastic.
