No worries through. I'm still apart of the same team and we're working on a much easier project.

The new Pan Am you were working with? Or are you talking about the original Pan Am?

Sorry to hear that though. Didn't you move up north to be closer to the headquarters?

The move up to NJ with my boyfriend has been delayed indefinitely. Still looking at options.

Thankfully, the initial development of our new project should be easier where I am. A lot of archives and materials I need access to are right here in Dallas.

I think so. The last time I read his Reddit history, he stated he bought a MacBook Air for work. He's probably angry at the world right now because YouTube bought Twitch.TV today.

With the buzz around P3D etc and really think Flight Simulation is regenerating a new lease of life and thus the community around it. Would be great to see this place going properly again.

Yes, but last fall they released Prepar3D 2.0, which moved to DX11 (while still maintaining lots of backwards compatibility) and then in 2.2 they massively improved VAS usage which has done wonders to counteract OOMs. In 2.3, they are going to be working on SLI support I believe, and Lockheed has said that a 64bit version is possibly in the future.

So while we have known about P3D for several years now, it was only recently that Lockheed made some very impressive improvements to the engine and they seem committed to both listening to the existing flight simulator community and continuing to improve their product.

Fortunately Lockheed is pretty generous with their refund policy. You have 30 days to apply for a refund for whatever reason.

I purchased the Academic version but decided to return it, I think I should get a more powerful graphics card before moving from FSX. In the future I plan to return to P3D though.

It is but its being updated all the time. It's a long term platform that will allow developers to develop for it long into the future. That is only a good thing for the community imo.

It seems both of you are correct. I'll have to look into it. First things first, at the moment. I've been spending too much time (As if it's a thing) watching football, and currently getting ready for the cup games and the moaning after the first round. Last weeks games where Bizarro World grade. Maybe after the cup games. Still recovering from smashing my hand into the table edge from the FA final game.

Anywho, I'll check that P3D stuff out tonight.
