What I thought:

Didn't like the way the colours were edited on vid 1.  A Go-around (albeit very late) was over-dramatised.

Vid 2, I can stand Heavy Metal but when it sounds fuzzy, it kinda screwed up my attention on the vid.  The hatch open while doing barrel rolls did not appeal to me as well.

Vid 3.  This is just flying about which may seem boring but still, I liked it the most out of the 3 vids.  That sunrise scene and angle is sickeningly similar to my recent Alaska 737-700 screenshot!  :D

My comments are for the Video Contest, and I voted for the Third Video by Mr. Montgomery.

First Video :

- The video itself wasn't bad, but the things in there were not dramatic or tense enough to REALLY capture the viewer's attention. Not bad at all though !

Second Video :

- The music used did not flow the presentation and the content itself at all. Certainly, the aircraft was very well designed and detailed, which increased the viewer's rating of the video. However, there was no plot summary in this video because I do not understand what the video was about. However, it was good !

Last Video :

- The scenes and background were eminent into the atmosphere and the music was quite calming and relaxing. In my opinion, I think the music was too calming and relaxing, but the music would be a fantastic choice for openings and endings. I think more views with the aircraft should be done to show more detail and to add more interaction because the video is about a Virtual Airline. Indeed a very good job !

I had a difficult time choosing each video had its pros and cons.

Thank you,
James

I voted number 3

first video had bad graphics, mabe its just my system. the plot was interesting, but would have been better if you showed the crash

second video wasn't well matched with the music, but the aircraft and flying were great

third had nice scenery/effects, and good music, but it wasn't as good plot-wise as the first one

they're all good, better than I could make.
hard to decide

I just realised...

Although I voted for the Continental Virtual video, isn't it 1.8MB above the allowable size limit? (It's 16.8MB).

I'm only trying to be objective.  The crystal clear quality of the CO VA vid is a significant strength, produced by the high bitrate of 1100kbps+.  However, this unfortunately seem to be touching on the rules.

So, you're interested in making a FS2004 video right? Here is an overview of the rules for each monthly contest...

-A standard zipped (compressed) file size of 15mb now applies.

I was going for more entries than 2 because people start thinking the video contests are dull with only 2 entries.

Yep, I understand but would be more helpful if there was a clearer indication of how much leeway is allowed!

I'm working on a new vid and the 15MB/bitrate might pose a problem, and yep the CO VA is a good vid.
