Yeah. RealAir used the technique of modelling the gauges INSIDE the VC, thus making it VERY smooth. It only works for gauges like steam ones, and needle gauges like the Spitfire. Therefore it's almost impossible to do it on a commercial plane with lots of complex gauges. (boeing, airbus)
