If you do not know what you are doing, don't attempt this. It will screw up your PC. Tweaks can be dangerous.

Yet again you don't now what you are on about, sprouting the usual rubbish out of your mouth.

The only thing I have mentioned here that is remotely tricky is running the Uxtheme Patcher, heck it's just double click on the program and press the run button, that is so so easy to use.

And if it doesn't work, run the Patcher again and it will uninstall and reinstall the original Uxtheme.dll.

Le, I have read that tweaks are dangerous. Straight from computer pilot magazine. Are you telling me it lies? :o I understand that your using a program. But, if this was done manually, be careful. And stop bashing me, everything I say is not rubbish. You wanna take this outside buddy? :D

Yeah outside, rolls sleeves up  :D  :o

This method I have mentioned here has been used by thousands of users, don't always believe the crap that some people write on the internet.

The forum below is where this program was created, I shall say it yet again that thousands of users have used this program with no problems whatsoever.

Neowin Forums

Most people who run into problems usually have systems full of crap, and in a crappy state.

*edit* Computer Pilot magazine is not exactly a reputable source, I bet they were doing something wrong lol.

Does this use up loads or ram? or does it take effect on main speed of the pc system, i've not tried this but i'd rather keep my boring scheme if it's going to slow down my performance.

Usually Win XP won't allow unsigned themes to be used as Microsoft want you to buy their Xp Plus program that does this.

All this Uxtheme patcher is to slightly modify the Uxtheme.dll and allow you to use unsigned themes without having to buy that program from Micro$oft.

Where as programs like Style XP use extra ram, this doesn't at all.

I ment manual tweaks instead of using programs, but your the expert and if you say tweaks are safe, then ok their safe. Your the hardware Guru.
