Highly recommendable program:

Has the normal options many programs due, like cropping and grayscale and size etc, but what's cool about this one is you can put it on your system tray (like grap clip and save) and you can set it to put your altitude, location in text in the pic
Just an FYI...that link is dead.........

Hey guys, first time posting here (been lurking far too long now I think).

I was curious, is there any way to enable a sort of 'Freecam'? I've seen quite a lot of screenshots that appear to have offset camera angles, or tilted views that don't appear to be post-edited in any way. I did notice there was one utility simply called 'fsxcamera', but it was a little confusing and the odd readme didn't help either.

Thanks!

active camera (payware)
walk and follow (payware)
F1 view (free at avsim)

Can be used to walk around the aircraft.

This website can accomodate very large photo's but the most accepted is 800*600.

Got something to add to this discourse.

Crop your pictures first with a photo editor and get out of the picture the red numbers across the top of the picture. You can crop to take out any unwanted scenery or to just enlarge the shot. Next do the re-sizing and you have a nice clean picture.

Picture editors are a dime a dozen, I use Microsoft's "Picture It" which came in a bundle of programs called the Works Suite. Not expensive. You can download picture editors off of the net for free.

Oh by the way I use a freeware program called "Capture" to take my screen shots. Google Analog X.

My search skills get a fail. :hrmm:

I posted this question in another area without any success. Hopefully I can get an answer here. :hrmm:

Anyway, my question is this - Is there a way to change the default horizontal/vertical dpi of the default FSX (v-button) screenshots?

When I use it for screenshots they go to my D:\My Documents\My Pictures\Flight Simulator X Files folder in BMP format sized to 1680x1050 (or 1680x964 in windowed mode) in 71x71 dpi resolution.

That last bit is the killer.

I'd like to know if that horizontal/vertical dpi can be increased with some kind of edit in FSX or some OS switch (XP Home btw). It would just be more convenient than using an external capture program.

If not, I'll just have to get un-lazy and use an external program. ;)
