I just did a flight from EGLL-KBOS in the PMDG 744, and when i planned the flight in the Route page of the FMC, it said "Rte Disco after PVD" PVD is a VOR, and when i finally got to PVD about to decencd, my flightplan was discontinued, I am mad, 6 hours for a discontinued flight.......PLEASE HELP. :D

Are you sure you planned the route right?

When you programmed the FMC, did you do a step by step to see if it was all good? Cause sometimes, your approach will cause this and you need to just delete it.

Just delete the route discontinuity by connecting the next waypoint.

Well from PVD-JEKEL it is a 180 degree turn,, Wierd approach, could that 180 degree turn have to do with it?

Click on the left LSK next to jekel, and then click on the left LSK next to the box under PVD, this way it will connect Jekel to PVD. Are you advanced in the FMC programming, if not why the ###### did you fly a 6 hour flight???? :D

BTW what was your route and runway to land?

OK well looking at the charts:

http://www.myairplan...0058NORWICH.PDF
http://www.myairplan...fs/00058I4R.PDF

you have to cross PVD at 11,000ft @ 250kts, fly to INNDI, and then connect to WINNI (@ 4,000ft) where you will capture the localiser, and then carry out the approach.

To clear this Discontinuity you have, press the Line Select Key (LSK) next to JEKEL. Then press the LSK next to the 5 "boxes". This will close the Discontinuity.
As Vlad and more ask, what was your Route, STAR and landing runway? Strangest approach I've seen coming the way you've described!!

Heading for 4R through SCUPP would probably route via PVD onto either CELTS or BEEGE onto WINNI to the ILS.

After PVD, you fly to CELTS, ARMUN,  CATUS and then SCUPP (@ 11,000ft), from there you connect to WINNI (@ 4,000ft) and fly the ILS 04R appraoch...

Arghh Tom beat me to it.

BTW how did you get JEKEL???????????
