My Hometown

Welcome to the 28th monthly FS2004.com Screenshot Contest!  This month everybody descended on UltimatePilotAce's hometown of Minneapolis / St. Paul, Minnesota (USA) for some great shots as part of the "My Hometown" theme that UltimatePilotAce chose after winning last month's contest.  I wondered if the shots in such a theme would all look the same, but there is excellent varitey in this month's competition.  It's going to be tough to choose a winner!  Speaking of which, the winner will choose next month's theme AND take home the following fabulous prize:

Simulating Art is sponsoring FS2004.com's December Screenshot Contest!  The winner of the contest will receive their Phoenix Photo Scenery package free of charge.  Phoenix Photo Scenery offers what others are calling "The most realistic scenery upgrade you can get for the Phoenix Metropolitan area. It looks exactly like the real world."  This package is available through SimulatingArt.com or through Flight1.

simulatingart.com said:

Our scenery goes beyond the typical flat and lifeless photoreal releases that only look good from 10,000 feet. High frame rate autogen, GMAX buildings, vegetation, and objects are aligned with the scenery to make it jump out at you as if you were there.

Our company motto is to give you more than simply buildings and texture but instead to produce a work of art you can fly through.

And now, the shots!

I voted 15, while it may not have the smoothest graphics, I think it's the most creative. 10's my second choice, nice and sharp with good lighting and a great angle.

I voted for 2 because the cockpit shots just really get me. A special thanks to UPA for choosing this month's theme. :D

I particularly like pic 17 with the Red Arrows it has the Team 4 Aerobatic Display team just leaving the airport over the residential city area.

Spectacular, I think a sunset picture of that would have been better though.

Good Luck to everyone... :D

As I have an entry in the competition, I surrendered my vote, although I think Nr.10 is the best (it's not mine).

I'd just like to say the screenshot possibilities were limited as you didn't really have much choice as where you would like to take it - either the airport or the downtown area. In my opinion this was a very bad theme as it hugely limited the shots that could be taken.
