This is an excellent case!
It is designed as a file server case, but it makes a great case for a desktop machine too.
When I received it, I was amazed by its high quality. It is a real classy case and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves computers.
The side of the case can be taken off very quickly and easily, although there are screws that can be removed easily by hand, you don't actually have to use the screws to hold on the side of the case. It has a handle that you slide back and it will unlock the side of the case.
There are also 2 key locks. You can lock the front panel (so that people can’t touch your CD-ROM drives) and you can also lock the side of the case.
This case comes with 3 cooling fans, it also has space for 2 more to be added. You don't even need to screw on the fans, it just clips on securely with ease. (No screws needed except for the fan on the side of the case, it does come pre-mounted though.)
As it is hard to get matching coloured CD-ROM drives/Floppy drives, the front panel does come in useful as it hides them. The good thing about it though, is that you can take the CD-ROM drives in and out with ease. You do not have to unscrew them. (You push the clips in and simply pull them out.)
This case can hold 6 hard drives (probably more if you want to want to squeeze them in) You can also take out the hard drive bays by unclipping a lever, which makes it much easier to put the hard drives in and out.
It comes with a 430W PSU. However I cannot comment on it much as I took it out and put in a 550W PSU of mine. However I will say that it looks well made. It also has 2 fans on the PSU for better cooling.
When I saw the case on the site, the only thing that put me off were the case stands. In my opinion, I don’t think they look very good when they are folded out. The good thing for me is that they can be folded in so that you can’t see them.
The only bad thing about it was that it came with a mains power lead that had a US plug on it. I live and ordered it from the UK. So a US plug is no good to me! But I used my previous lead so it did not cause a problem.
