With the current price reduction, it is a very nice aircraft to have in your hanger. It come with 3 engine variations, from 1240HP to 1900HP. With 1900Hp engine set up, I have achieved 485MPH@22000ft(TAS)in FS9. It is, however, not realistic and exceeded the published 745kph or 465MPH record.
The machine gun firing is also animated for the WWII models. Damage model is displayed. It can also do the belly landing just like the Shockwave's P-51s.
I always find CaptainSim's VC design gave me comfortable aspect ratio. This one is no exception. One problem I have is the CaptianSim use the authentic Russian airspeed indicator, usually in kph, to display the KIAS information which make the speed monitoring a bit difficult during the landing approach because the scale is missing under the 100KIAS. (The cut off would be 100km or 50KIAS in the real Russian plane)
The negative aspect of this product is, most of the controls are not clickable in VC. Keyboard entry is required to operate prop pitch and mixture. It has no 2D panel, but I don't use 2D panel to fly and it doesn't bother me at all.
