Description: Project AI is a volunteer group of aircraft builders, repainters and schedule makers.

Their goal is to bring the Flight Simulator environment one step closer to reality by recreating real-world air traffic to enhance your flying environment. They use GMAX to design their aircraft to take advantage of the new features of Flight Simulator. Their aircraft models also are lower in detail so that they have a lower effect on frame rate.

They are making available complete airline packages containing the aircraft repaints an flight plans you will require in a self-installing format. They also have the aircraft models, repaints and schedules separately available so that you can customize your AI traffic to your own liking.
They also invite all members of the Flight Simulator community to contribute to this project by contributing repaints of our aircraft or real-world airline schedules for your favorite airline.

And best of all, IT'S FREE! Server operations are funded by your donations.

Pros: Has the most common airlines, not hard to install
Cons: none for a freeware

I would recommend projectai if you don't have the money to buy Ultimat Traffic. Has realistic flight plan.

Pros: free, gives most of the well know airlines around the world
Cons: Can slow the frame rates downs, not all the airlines included

This a good product for free ai traffic, but it can be a little hard to install, other than that it is a good free add-on if you want all the major airlines flying around your Flight Sim world. Thumbs Up!

Pros: Awesome AI Traffic
Cons: Aircraft Livery Blurry

I would recommend this to people who likes freeware. The problem I had with this is it had way to many blurry liveries on the AI. I couldn't read American on the AA AI. The way I found out was by the livery design.

Pros: Great scheduling! Awesome selection of bigger airlines
Cons: Can overcroud airspace, hits the frame rate pretty hard

I am pleased overall with PAI. It's always nice to see some recognizable aircraft at the airports.

Pros: Free, perfect trafic, excelent models.
Cons: blurry aircraft livery, hits the frame rate

Its pretty nice to have trafic wich looks like real in FS, not like Pacifica and land Mark or what so ever. perfect addon.

Pros: New airlines just keep on poping out
Cons: might kill FPS if a certain airport is EXTERMELY crowded

Excellent software for AI, easy to install when u get the installer, many airliners to choose from, and more are released frequently. If you used AFCAD to install gates to major airports with the reall number of gates in reall life, just make sure your PC can handle it (ex: Heathrow,LAX,JFK..etc)

Pros: Great traffic, free, easy to install.
Cons: Terrible models not at all suitable, can be FPS killer.

Project AI is a great programme, and I commend the team for its work. It is the easiest free way to incorporate AI traffic into your sim, however the models are terrible and hardly suitable as AI traffic. However, if your PC can handle it (which most can), PAI is a great resource that should not be passed up.
