Angel Harbor Tours/Yacht by Robbins Shipyard
Created using FS Design Studio V3.5.1 by Abacus.
Copyright 2008

The Angel is the result of many, many of Hours of modeling with Abacus Design Studio. There are 119 individual parts, 10,824 Vertices and 9580 Polygons. It was designed for FSX but will display and work in FS9. The Special Gauges will only work in FSX.

INSTALATION:

Unzip the Angel.zip file in your Aircraft folder found at c:\program files\
microsoft games\microsoft flight simulator x\simobjects\aircraft

Open the newly created PANEL directory within the Angel folder.
Copy the Harbortours file. DO NOT UNZIP IT! Paste the file into
the Gauge directory found at c:\program files\microsoft games\microsoft
flight simulator x\gauges

It is now ready to use but first you must start FSX and select a flight
that puts you in the water on a float plane or other floatable object.
Now you can select the Angel from the list of Aircraft. I suggest you
save the flight with the Angel as your aircraft.

Note: You can also disable Crash Mode and start FSX at any airport
close to the water. Select Angel as your aircraft then SLEW it to the
water. Pushing the 'Y' key will put you in and out of Slew mode.

Save the Flight so you don't have to do this everytime. Use the Map
view to put your new Angel anywhere in the world. New York's harbor
is a great place to tour.

SPECIFICATIONS:

The first thing you will notice about the Angel is that it is solid. There
are no simple walls made of pasted together polygons. Even the window
frames are solid and 3D. All the carpets are actually carpets you could
buy for your home. They are taken from pictures of actual carpets. The
boat has three decks, the top being an observation deck. There is
seating for 50 passengers, most of which are individual seats. The decks
are accessible either by ladder or by the Elevator. The wrap around
forward windows give excellent vision from the Pilot house or from the
Virtual Pilot house. The boat also has full time Radar.

Length = 103 (Tip of bow to the Swimming platform on the stern.)
Beam = 30 feet.
Height = 30 feet. (35 to clear Radar Array)
Engines = Two Gasoline engines..take your choice of make.
Max Speed = 30kts Two Engines 20kts One Engine
Fuel = 60 gals. Approx. mpg 10 both Engines at Max. Throttle

In addition the "Angel" has many unique Gauges, some of them never
before seen in a Flight Simulator. It took me a lot of hours to get them
all running properly. They are all digital and will work only in FS10.
If you plan on using the Angel in FS9 you will have to use another
panel. A panel is not provided for FS9.

GAUGES

Heading Standard
Speed Capable of showing very low speeds.
Temperature Easy to read temperature in ferrenhite.
Wind Direction and Speed
Rpm 1 & 2 Standard
Anchor Raises and Lowers the Anchor
ECU Engine Control Unit. Controls Fuel and Throttle.
Trip Ode Displays total miles traveled. Resettable.
Switches For lights etc.
Fuel Displays fuel in Gallons
Clock Easy to read digital clock.

Want to check your MPG? So easy when you have a Fuel Gauge and a
Trip Ode. You can actually measure the fuel savings you get by lowering
your speed.

ANCHOR: To raise and lower the Anchor, use the Anchor control by
clicking on it. You can also use the "G" key but the graphics
on the Anchor Control will not update. You can update it by
clicking on it.

WIND I've always wanted to know wind conditions even while flying.
This is a handy gauge for quick reference. Shows direction
wind is coming from and speed.

ECU The Engine Control Unit is operated by Left Clicks.

TRIP This is an accurate measure reqardless of Speed or weather
conditions because it measures your Feet Per Second over
the ground. When pausing FS bring the boat to a full stop
before doing it. FS will keep adding up the miles if you don't.

SPEED The Speed gauges in FS are not made for vehicles that can
travel at low speeds. This new gauge can easily show 1 kt.

RADAR The Radar screen is visible at all times except Exterior View.
The Dot in the center is your boat. To adjust the Radar
(Zoom, etc) push Shift 2. That will bring up the Radar Control.
This gauge is a slight modification of the Radar that comes
with Microsoft's Flight Simulator X. It will pick up Land shapes
but it won't pick up other ships. It is orientated to the north
at all times.

REFUELING The Refueling button can be used to refuel your boat.
You must be at a full stop in order for it to work.

CO-PILOT The Copilot button turns control of the boat over to your
First Mate. He will maintain the present course. You will not
be able to turn the boat without taking control back. You
will notice that the compass moves up and down. This is
normal for a ship. The waves will move your boat around
a bit but the course will remain relatively correct.

Elevator Pushing Shift E will raise or lower the elevator. It doesn't
stop at the 2nd level so just make believe it does.

Clock: Digital clock. Slight modification of Digital clock that comes
with FSX to make it easier to read.

The "Angel" files are Free but I retain all copyrights. You may upload
them to other sites but Credit must be given where credits are due.
You may also use individual gauges in your own project but if you
upload them for others you must give credit for the gauge to me.
I retain all rights and will have them removed from sites where full
credit is not given.

Have fun,
