What is the building made from?

I've guessed concrete, but that can be changed.

I've uploaded a zip with the model and texture. You'll need to alter the path of the texture in the material editor in gmax for it to show, as the path will be different to where I saved it.

i got it to go in fs, but the thing is really, really, REALLY big... i think that the model has to be in meters instead of ft?  is that right? i'm not sure whats up with it... i've got to go to work, i'll check back when i get home... Thanks

well, i got everything working right except the texture isn't showing up in fs? the building is completely white...?? i changed the path of the texture in gmax to my addon scenery/textures folder and it shows up in GMAX but it's blurred..  But in FS nothing?

Nah, all the gmax material specifies is the *name* of the texture, not the path.

To get textures to show in FS, you first need to convert the bmp to a DXT bmp using something like DXTbmp. Then this texture needs to be placed in an active texture folder within your FS folder - either the main texture folder or in the texture folder of the scenery you have placed in the addon scenery folder.

Hey TCY, (or anyone else who can help) i'm wanting to add a night texture to this building... and also adjust the original texture a little, add some windows to the front of the building, etc... i have two questions.. first, how do i add the night texture with the lighting? i read about something in another thread about adding something in GMAX, but i can't find what you were talking about...

second, is there any easy way to add these windows, i mean as far as measureing on the original texture to find where the windows will go... i have a specific spot i'm wanting to add them to... Thanks to anyone who can help
