They are NOT African Americans. I am sick and tired of that term. If you were born here, your American. If you were born there and came here, your African-American then. Otherwise, your black, and an American. Just like I am white, and an American; Not a Polish-American.
Calm the down.

No...African-American is being born by African parents IN America.
Seriously though, calm the down, it's just a term. Were not freaking perfect.
He wasn't getting aggressively angry, he was just pointing out that even though a black family may have lived in America for several generations their race is still described as 'African American' (Which is currently the politically correct term?). I don't like it either because it makes white people seem more 'American' that black people.
Political Correctness has gone mad lately .
Correct. I wasn't being angry in a bad way, just the context of the way its worded. And if you think that being born by African parents in America makes you African-American, then why on applications and other things, does it only say white for white people, and not Polish-American, German-American, Italian-American and so forth? Simply because your American if you were born here, not where your parents came from. Its just that this idiot country tries to be way too PC, which is stupid. Saying someone is black isnt offensive. Saying that they are a negro, is not offensive if your spanish. Saying they are a negro while not being spanish, offensive. Saying the longer n word, offensive.
