I'd appreciate if people could find some pictures of this airport, as it's my first scenery project using EOD.
I also need aerial photos as well, as Google Earth doesn't have proper coverage of it.
I have the following:

It's also known as Carrickfin Airport. I'll post up pictures when I extract to FS.

Just found this. I may be heading up to Donegal later this summer, so I'll get some pictures then if I am.

Got the terminal placed in FS, textures need tweaking, the position of it is a bit wrong and the cylinders don't seem to extract properly but it looks pretty good.

Yeah, ignore the textures. Props to Mr Schutte for all the help.

Awsome Little Airport, it would be nice if you could model photorealistic textures, but too bad theres no Google Earth coverage.

I'll keep on trying using other satellite map sites.

Changed textures, they're not as blurry but they still need some tweaking. The cylinders look good IMO, they still need to be positioned right though.

No thanks man, I'm already in a VA and I'm pretty busy atm. Good luck.
On another note, I'm still looking for a realistic AFCAD of the airport, there's one on avsim which is realistic to proportions supposedly, but it isn't right. I've emailed the designer and hope for a reply. Here's another shot:

I noticed the cylinders were wrong so I updated them according to the new pictures. I'm gonna try and modify this AFCAD, as you can see it's wrong.

Good news, got in touch with the maker of the AFCAD and he'll redo the AFCAD for me. I'm currently tweaking and texturing the control tower on the top of the terminal. Still looking for good textures for the windows.
Finished modeling the control tower. Please give some opinions on the window textures:

It looks nice. Here are some of my ideas to improve it:

1) Because it is not a very complex airport, you could get away with a few more polys on the cyliders to make them smoother.

2) I would work on a new roof texture to make it more crisp.

3) I would make the tower windows transparent and look like glass, and then model the inside. This would add more polys, but it such a small airport it wouldn't really matter.

Thats just my two cents. Looks good though. Good job

I'm using EOD, and the max sides you can have on a cylinder is 16 so no smoother I'm afraid.
I'm working on making the roof textures more crisp. And I may model the inside of the tower, EOD is pretty limited so i might not be able to. Maybe some figures inside or something.
Thanks for the kind comments anyways

I'm using EOD, it doesn't have UWV.
Thank you :)
Edit: Can anyone help me with DXTBMP? I'd like to make a semi transparent texture. I know using an alpha channel I can make one colour transparent but can I make a colour semi transparent?

I have never done it but i think this is how you do it:

1) Apply your blue glass like texture.

2) Make an image in gray scale, white being transparent, gray being solid.

3) In DXTbmp open up the blue image.

4) Go to Alpha Chanel>Import Alpha Channel

5) Then select the grayscale image

6) Then save it as an extended bmp.

7) Viola!

Hopefully if it worked it should be transparent. Again I wrote this off the top of my memory so it might not work. If it dosen't, sorry.

Didn't work. It's totally transparent. My alpha channel was grey if that helps.

Well good that it worked to make it transparent. Now try a little lighter gray in the greyscale images. I may have mixed up the colors. I am going to try right now, so I will see if that works.

I've tried both light grey and dark grey.
