No plans to commercialize this one yet, at least not in the next 2 decades. Right now it's just a project by Boeing Phantomworks for the NASA.

sonic cruiser isn't supersonic though, it planned on cruising just below the speed of sound to avoid the sonic boom

Just remember - a DC-8 went supersonic before the Concorde ....  :censored:

It's true! When Douglas did some testing with the DC-8, they also did a dive test. DUring the test it managed to cross Mach 1.

U.S government had ban the concorde from flying over the speed of sound due the sonic boom (over U.S air)

The US government banned supersonic flight? That's just retarded. I've heard some dumb decisions by the government but this tops them all.

no it's for all supersonic aircraft, and why is it stupid? sonic booms can break windows if the aircraft is low enough, so there's a good reason it should be banned :censored:

Yes, under a certain altitude, so why not just ban supersonic flight under that altitude?

Not JUST the US, in general, the Concorde was not allowed to go supersonic over populated areas in any country.  An exception was made when the Concorde now at Boeing Field flew East to West.

it RARELY made it that high, if ever, it normally did a cruise climb from FL410 to FL570 or so

concorde during cruise...imagine the fuss that would make if there were several of those doing that over land.

noise regulations are here for a reason, and I personally agree with em...wouldn't want to be waken up in the middle of the night by a giant boom sound

Might just be me but I think it would be kinda cool to watch A/C fly supersonic over my house and make sonic booms

We already have C-130's and Black Hawks that fly low enough over our house to spill drinks! :censored:

The only time I ever saw anything supersonic was the F-22 at Oshkosh. It was freaky seeing the thing come at you and not making a sound. :censored:

Wait a second, half of this topic talks about a super sonic flight ban over the US yet this F-22 did it?  :censored: I have been wondering why I've seen a bunch of videos of Super sonic flybys at airshows whole there is that ban  :)

Maybe do they let it slide by for airshows? Too bad they wouldn't ever be  able to do a super sonic flyby for our airshow (our airport is smack dab in the middle of the city, the annual Thunderbird show has even been moved to just south of town!)
