well, I always was scared of repainting a aircraft but today i found out that its not as hard as i though and thats to robins brilliant guide Here

anyway, here how i got on in a couple of hours:

Posted Image

The gray underside im worried about the shade of gray and the iran air logo looks a bit too blue.

anyway, after asking for a repaint and most people couldn't do it i decided to start one up myself :censored:

constructive criticism welcome considering the fact it was the first time repainting and using photoshop properly and not playing around in it

Nice paint for a first

PSD files is not recognizable by FS2004 or FSX. That means you have to save it as Bitmap (.BMP) in order for it to work.

This is what you do...

I don't know about Level D but for Posky we have to cut the aircraft in bits and stick it to a main fuse file.

1)Use Photoshop.
2)Flatten Image (click yes for "Discard hidden layers" if prompt)
3)Use the Marque (sp?) tool and cut according to the main file. (I think there are 2 main fuse files. Once again I'm not sure)
4)Cut n' paste
5)Save the main fuse as (extension .bmp) 32bit and a different name (incase you paint another one)
NOTE: DO NOT SAVE the flatten file.

then once thats sorted out.

6)Use DXTBMP (by MW Graphics)
7)Open the main fuse file (one by one)
9)Untick "Include when saving" Mipmap on the right side.
8)save as > extended bitmap > 32bit > the Iran .ir folder in your Level D file
9)Do the same with the other main fuse file.

Thats it for now.

Hope that helps. If you need more help I'll be glad to help you out.

Well that usually means that you have not convert the Bitmap files completely. You must use the DXTBMP software to convert the Bitmap files again and then save bitmap ONCE more.

That should do it

no luck
i've converted all the files in DXTbmp, but still not working but now the original level d simulations name in the airline name box is now iran air even though its not in that livery and the cfg file looks normal
so i've given up, or if you or someone else wouldn't mind to take the files i did and do them so they can be easily put into fs please

thanks

I would do it for you but I don't have Level D 767. Can you show the CFG and the IR file once more?

Well I see the problem. You're still getting the fuse part wrong. PSD cannot be used.
